It’s a Me…Kendall

My name is Kendall, I was born on a cold day in November of 1986 in Spokane, Washington. I lived there for the first 19 years of my life amongst the red-neckery, ignorant of how large the world really was. With a large and loving family (friends included) I have not gone wanting in attention or conflict. What is life without our families behind us pushing us everyday. From them I gain my inspiration, insight, and my sense of humor.

High school was a mixed bag for me. On one hand the joy of cliques, teen anxiety that was thick in the air, and the constant fear of doing something stupid was oh so enjoyable. However something good did come about. I’m referring to the rabbit hole i was thrown down known as Japan. During my Junior year I decided to branch out from the regular choice of language i.e. French and Spanish and shot for Japanese.

Nine years later and I’d say choosing Japanese as a focal point in my life was one of the better choices I’ve made among a slew of ridiculous ones.  So far I’ve lived in Japan for just over three years, worked with exchange students from Japan as a peer advisor, graduated with a BA in Japanese language and culture, and that is just in the time since high school. On top of all of that I have met some of the most interesting people in my travels, and to me that is the greatest part of this adventure called life. I’m back home in Portland and having a good time getting to know a place I moved to some years ago, but never had a chance to fully explore.

To see what I’m up to check out my Recent Blurbs section to the side. If you like what you see please feel free to like, comment, share via Facebook, or even sign up to receive updates on what I’m doing.

Here’s to the future friends! Let’s have a drink and watch this show called life unfold.

Kendall, your blog site looks very nice. The only thing I might change would be to notch up the font and brighten the color of your Navigation Text. I didn’t see it at first, and couldn’t figure out how to get to your different pages. I especially enjoy your photography. I’ve always thought you had a good eye for taking pictures. they are never just a photo of something or someone…they tell stories. that is a rare ability and i think you should stick with that, even just for your own enjoyment. I”m glad you are doing this blog. Maybe it will help you center yourself and keep things in perspective.

  2. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate your efforts and I am waiting
for your next post thanks once again.

If I might inquire, what were you searching for that led you to my site?

People keep mentioning studying or searching for certain kind of info. Might I inquire as to what it was you were searching for when you happened upon my blog?
